  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Below are some of the most frequently asked questions.  If you have additional questions that we haven't addressed here, please contact us.

  • COST

    Our starting cost for a standard 4-hour event or indoor wedding start at $500. Outdoor weddings, lighting, generators, and additional equipment are subject to additional costs. After we meet, I will provide you with an exact cost - there won't be any surprise fees. We'll sign a contract prior to your event so that we're all on the same page. Additional hours are negotiable.

  • TYPES OF EVENTS

    We're willing to play almost anything.  Just ask.  Typically we play weddings, retirement parties, corporate events and charity functions.

  • EQUIPMENT INCLUDED

    All of our music is in digital format, so we don't travel with a lot of equipment.  We bring a black skirted table, all necessary cables and extension cords and kickin' speakers.

     

    We also bring two lasers that produce more than 400 beams, which are projected on walls, ceiling or dance floor.  Safe to use, these red and green lasers comply with FDA standards. They can be sound activated, adding "mood" to any wedding, party or event.

  • MUSIC LIBRARY

    We have an extensive music library, featuring today's hottest pop hits, country songs and oldies.  Our library is updated regularly to stay current, but if there's ever a song we don't have that you want, we'll do whatever we can to get it.  We're happy to download up to 10 songs for you, free of charge.  Each additional song will cost $2.00.

  • REQUESTS

    We prefer to have the event playlist set in advance of the event based on what you want versus giving guests freedom to choose songs that they want to hear - which may not match what you want.

  • ATTIRE

    We take pride in our professionalism, so you be assured we'll be dressed appropriately for your event.  Typically we'll wear a suit and tie, or a tuxedo.

  • INTRODUCTIONS / ANNOUNCEMENTS

    We'll be as involved as you want us to be.  We're comfortable being the Master of Ceremonies or not saying a word - its up to you.

  • BREAKS

    We don't take breaks.  If you hire us for a full 4-hour event, that's what you'll get.

  • SUBSTITUTE DJ'S

    When you hire Bov Knows Music, you get Bov himself.  No substitues.

  • ADVANCE BOOKING

    We recommend you schedule with us as soon as your reception venue is booked.  Our schedule is set based on a first-come, first-serve basis and fills up quickly, particularly in the summer months.  Complete our request form to let us know when your event is scheduled.  We'll certainly do our best to accommodate any last-minute requests.

  • TRAVEL

    We are located in South Bend, Indiana, but are willing to travel when our schedule allows.  All travel costs will be estimated in advance and billed as an incremental pass-thru expense.
